The Troop hosts a lot of events and this was one to remember. Camping out at Knoebel’s, waking up in the morning to walk right over to the rides when the park opens, It doesn’t get much better.
Although it was early in the season everything was up and running and I think everyone had a great time.
Planning a day trip in April is almost like asking for bad weather. Who would have thought, not only did we score a day without rain but also a clear sunny day and temperatures in the high 70s.
We made the decision to take the tour bus and thank goodness for it. It is hot in Washington with the sun beaming down on you and the monuments are not that close together. Walking from one to the other can be brutal.
Once we got to the Lincoln Memorial, we did walk up the mall to the World War II Memorial, taking in all the others along the way.
It was a great day and we visited a number of attractions but nowhere near enough to satisfy me. I guess another trip is in store.
